I just bought a G-Loomis 803 jig-and-pig rod, through an employee discount program, and i was wondering what kind of reel to put on it, i have a daiwa procaster on my other rod, and i like that , but i kinda wanted a different reel for this rod.

ake a rbber band, and ct it so you have about 1 inch of it, then just tie it on the line, and it can slide up and down the line, but only with pressure. meaning it wont slide when your working it, just if you want to readjust it.

why are everyone hating on bill dance and roland martin, they are two of the greatest fishermen ever, and i garuntee they know more about bass then almost anyone here. im not trying to be meanor anything, but some of you guys think that you are the greatest fisherman in the world, and you do everything right, and the other people do it wrong. again im not being mean, just saying what i think.

also, try to use inside tube weights, because that weight can force that mouth open when it is pulled on

my dad is an expert at fly trying, and i will give him jig heads so i can have hair jigs, and he uses a dark greenish deerhaor for a crawfish, they are dynamite in the rivers here. paired with a yum chunk. mmm mmmmm

my dad runs the fly sho at lunkers in MI. we both love to fly fish my favorite fly is a Black Chernoble ant ona no.2 hook.its alot bigger than most chernobles, but bass tear it up

fish areas that before the rain , weren't under water, but now are, fish will congregate to new underwater areas

try top water and try a white weightless zoom trick worm with a 3/0 gamakatsu ewg hook fish it like ajerkbait under water about a foot or so under. big bass bait

jsutton if you are talking about the st.joe river, the smallies arent feeding on shad, try using shiners or fatheads. also use nightcrawlers, you may also get some dandy walleye
