  2. Posted by: FishLaughAtMe Posted on: May 26th, 2005, 7:07pm I usually set twice. bad idea FishLaughAtMe, if the first hookset is barely hooked, the second hookset will rip the hook right out. just try to get a good first hookset
  3. you better make sure it is legal in your state because in michigan it is illegal to stock fish with out a permit, and the DNR will give you a HEFTY fine if they catch you

  11. try flipping a small lizard that is the color or the bottom of the lake. put it on a small hook with a piece of nail in the head, no sliding weight. toss it right on the bed and it will fall head first, and it will look like it is eating the eggs. bass willl get mad and try to move it. set the hook
  12. use one of the strike king night spinner baits

  15. crankbaits are one of the best pond lures, make sure it is a small one. also like i say all the time, the banjo minnow, if you see a bass, throw the banjo minnow, you will catch that bass GARUNTEED. also small worms and what i recentl learned is the split shotting small worms small split shot . excellent
  16. my dad likes to fly fish rivers, and one time he had on a steelhead in the st. joe river, he fought it for a while, but then the hook came out and flew behind him, he went to cast again and the hook got jabbed right in the back of his head. he had me cut the line, he put on a new fly and continued fishing, even with a hook in his head. when he was done, he had to go to the ER. to get the hook out. what a true fisherman
  17. i like the bass library books , both of KVDs books are good and i just bought the "fishing on the edge" by IKE and it is a very interseting book
