You could add a rattle to your worm or a bead between your hook and weight. You can peg your sinker thats about it for me. anyone else? ;D

The majority of people seem to think that the way the worm is hooked weedless is T-Rigging it. This actually is called a weedless worm. The basic T-Rig consists of a weedless worm with a worm weight above it. It can have the weight pegged or left to slide freely on the line. It can have one or as many beads as you want between the sinker and the hook.

Perhaps not the place for this question but...

I use this "T" rig set up for pond fishing. My problem is that 50% of the time the fish swallows the hook instead of getting hooked through the lip.

These are my fish in my pond and I hate it when trying to get the hook out damage is done to the fish. Since I only catch and release these fish I don't want to kill them.

Is it the type bait, hook or something I am doing???

apparently the bass are having entirely too much time to eat the lure.  when you see your line movin or feel the strike, give 1 1/2 secs and set the hook.  if that isn't enough time, then 2 secs is the general rule of thumb.

if they swallow it, cut the like and leave 18 inches of line up from the hook.

hehe i thought trig was just a weedless worm for a while.  i think the confusion was because some of the things i have seen online refer to it as such....like i have seen pics of "texposed" rigs where there was no weight.

No, the complete T-rig is with the weight, but the picture of the "Tex-posed" worm, those are correct.  That is the correct name for those pictures, as deemed by Yamamoto.

Is that bead or beef?  I've used red beads before, but I would think a big ol' hunk of beef might be hard to cast rigged to your worm.  Do you fish it rare, medium or well done?  Would A1 be a good attractant to go with it.     ;D ;D

A Trigged worm is one of the best baits ever.  It used to dominate the pro circuits, then other baits became popular and it has fallen to the bottom of the tackle box in many pros boats.

      Yeah, I hate it when I hook fish deap with this rig. Use a longer rod to help you set the hook quicker. Set the hook right away. If you miss the fish because you jerk it away from them, a lot of times they will hit again.
