Was wondering if anyone has used it? Its almost like the other frog  that Strike king produces but it has a cupped face. The problem im having is that I wanna cast it out and pop it and then crawl it across the weeds. I cant seem to do this because when I cast it,It sinks and then as I retrieve it to the weeds, it picks em up as its being brought in. I was under the impression its supposed to float. Anyone ever have a similar problem. Its a "Popper" so I thought you were supposed to cast out,let the ripples go down and then begin "twitching" and popping. Well I just cant do this with this particular bait. Anyone care to let me know why this may be happening? Im fishing it straight out of the package,0 modifications.Thanks to all

That's wierd!  I've used the grass frog by SK and it floats.  I've seen the popping frog and also assumed it would float.

My Dad, uncle, step-brother and myself have poppin frogs. All of us have had the same type of problem.

From what I've experienced, if you cast it out and start you retrieve right away, you can keep the bait on top. I've managed to be able to get away with short pauses. The bait seems to sink about an inch or two per second. I've seen this with 3 different colors I have. I too wish it was a completely floating lure but this technique has worked for me. A few of those plastic frogs will retain water.  After a few casts, squeeze the water out.  A few that i've seen actually have a hole where you can easily get the water out.  

That bait is made of foam and should float. Are you using a snap swivel or fluorocarbon line with this bait? There is also a lead strip in the middle of the bait that you can bend the nose up which will force the bait to push to the top when you move it.

I've used those popping frogs for years and it's got some problems. I always use the trailer hook that's supplied and while it doesn't sink like a regular sinking bait, it doesn't have a level attitude. The rear sits down and the face is up, so it doesn't pop real well. Despite that, it's been a good fish catcher, as has its cousin, the regular Grass Frog.
