Calculating weight

Featured Replies

I know I have seen a system to calculate the weight of a bass on here.  Can someone lead me to it??  Thank you

Look at the menu at the top of the page.  Hold your mouse over "Tacklebox" and a menu will appear underneath it.  You'll find the calculator there.

I saw on ESPN yesterday morning that you can use the following forumula to estimate the weight of a bass:

Length x Length x Girth

                1200

I tried the fomula with a calculator and got the same number as I did with the BR calculator.

Don 't sweat it, use Bassresource 's Fish Weight Calculator, the margin of error is minimal.

For example: I caught a 23 x 22 incher last year, BRFWC weight: 9.69 pounds, actual weight of the fish: 9.86 pounds, that 's pretty accurate if you ask me.
