Is Jackel Brothers Popular?

Featured Replies

I'm a angler from Japan and was wondering if you guys have used or seen much products from Jackel Brothers. Pretty much they are my favorite but was wondering if it's just a Japanese thing?

Jackall is popular.   But they can be a wee bit hard find.

For the most part, their baits compete directly with Lucky Craft in terms of styles, perform, and price (though each company makes some styles the other doesn't).

Jackall has become popular, Jackall baits were not easily obtainable until a couple of years ago, before that you had to get them from overseas.

Like many Japanese baits, they were hard to find, many japanese baits are still hard to find unless you get them from a specialized dealer or get them from japanese dealers.

Jackall makes some of my favorite baits. I really like the Flick Shake worms and the Giron.

I love alot of jackall products such as the squadminnow which has become one of my favorite jerkbaits however they are expansive and were more diffucult to find in past years.

That's what I thought too about them being expensive and hard to find. I have some friends who are always asking me to get them some tackle when I go to the states. I guess the supply can't catch up the demand on this one.

IMO, Jackall baits are right up there with Lucky Craft and Deps in terms of quality.  Not quite as nice as Megabass, but still pretty d**n nice.

Hard to find they are though.  At least Tackle Warehouse usually has a decent supply of a few baits.

I think the guy who started Jackall actually worked at Lucky Craft and started his own co.

They can be found on-line, but are expensive. Like most Japan made lures.  I have got a couple of Jackall lures, but haven't done much good on them, but, that may be because I haven't used them much. :;)

Jackel in my mind, are as good if not better than Lucky Craft.  Only place I can find them though is through ***.
