This always works for me....

You need to be more specific.  There's a WORLD of difference between a girlfriend and a spouse!  It's like the difference between owning and renting.

If you see some wildflowers along the way fishing keep that place in mind. If late go pick em. "Honey, I wasn't JUST fishin, but had you in mind." Just don't be getting endangered plants. ;D Being married to the same woman 39 years teaches you stuff like that.

I find that if you get in trouble for fishing too much or stay too late, skip fishing for a couple of weeks and do some stuff for or with her. She usually forgets about my past fishing transgressions after that.

If I could do that I wouldn't get in trouble in the first place  ;D ;D ;D

A man called home to his wife and said, "Honey I have been asked to go fishing up in Canada with my boss & several of his friends. We'll be gone for a week. This is a good opportunity for me to get that promotion I've been wanting, so could you please pack enough clothes for a week and set out my rod and fishing box? We're leaving from the office & I will swing by the house to pick my things up" "Oh! Please pack my new blue silk pajamas."

The wife thinks this sounds a bit fishy but being the good wife she is, did exactly what her husband asked. The following weekend he came home a little tired but otherwise looking good. The wife welcomed him home and asked if he caught many fish?

He said, "Yes! Lots of Salmon, some Smallmouth, and a few Bluegill. But why didn't you pack my new blue silk pajamas like I asked you to do?"

The wife replied, "I did. They're in your fishing box." ;D ;D ;D ;D

The next time this happens - tell her you're thinking about getting a sex change operation - Let her freak out for a bit and then tell her you're not really gonna do that - now tell her you over spent a bit on some fishing equipment - she will be relieved and happy that's all it is.

You can do the reverse of what I did. Went to the spring fishing show in T.O. and spent $1050.00 on a rod and reel.  when I got home she stared yelling and stomping around...Intill I pointed to the 1.5kt Diamond ring I had bought her Two Weeks before. She wasin't angry anymore...

So now gust go and get her a ring.... on second thought the heater and the spam might be cheaper.

Luckily for me, the dog house has never come along.   8-)

The boat stays in the garage all year, my tackle is bursting all its storage and now I even have my own tackle shop I run out of the home office, soon to have a physical store, I hope.

Been married 25 years to a lady who likes to fish as much as I do.

Tell'm like I tell my wife.  A man put in the dog house could end up in the cat house.

If that don't work, just give it a few days and things will be back to normal, In the mean time have fun doing what you want to do while she's too mad to say anything about it.  After all, she's already ticked at you so what you got to loose.  I've had 37 years experience at this stuff.

My best one was after about four days of my wife being the big "B" I got up one morning and asked her what I needed to do to "P***" her off and get that out of the way since everything I'd done for the past four days seem to do that.  Didn't have to worry about her bothering me the rest of the day.

Here are four rules regarding women that I live by:
