A poll on what a big bass is

Featured Replies

This is a just an extension of a previous post on how big a  "big bass" is in your area.  Nice to look at it in a poll where you can see some numbers more clearly.

I try not to brag too much :-[     If someone catches a 7+ in my area everybody knows about it though even if you only tell one person.  It just starts a chain.

P.S. - Anybody who catches a 15+ almost deserves to have the whole world know about it.

In my neck of the woods, I consider a four-pounder to be a "big bass." However, while it is a very satisfying fish, it's not a bragging fish.

That's a good way of putting it.

For Texas 7+ lbs. is common so 10+ is pretty good. but in my 45 mile radius 7+ is pretty good.

I consider any bass over 5# to be big. Any less, is nice too. I like the 2 pounders in a fight. They seem to really go for it! :D
