Bass hunting in packs

this morning i saw something a littel weird  :-/i was doing some fishing at a pond in south ga and i saw five to six nice size bass come out of the water at the same time trying to get some kind of bait fish when they all landed i could see there wakes just circling as they were rounding up moor to eat or serching has anybody seen these kinds of things i thought bass where solitary hunted alone and these wher muture bass

Actually during this time of the year is very common to watch bass forming wolf packs, they are hunting the same baby bass they spawned plus the juveniles of other species that spawned during the same period of time.

i guess it stiked me a littel weird because there has ben no top water action for about three weeks since the spawn then the hurican rains come and all heck breaks loose they shure are biting a hated to leave today

This is very common. You will also notice that the bass in a school are nearly the same size. So if you are looking for a big bass and you catch a couple of small ones. You probably won't find one larger in that spot.

Hmmm, saw Bass packs here in NC last weekend. They wouldn't touch my lures. They were very pretty moving along the shore line.
