After watching some of the pros on tv, I noticed a difference in some of their storage. Most use plano 3700 for hard baits and that works great. On soft plastics some keep them in the original bags, and others also use plano 3700 to organize worms, etc.

The boxes seem better organized, instead of bags laying around or binders, however, I did hear keeping plastics in the bags you buy will keep them fresher. Any thoughts?

I keep all my soft plastics in their original packaging, and inside their own plano 3700 box.  I have 4 or 5 boxes and each box is seperated into worms, tubes,  jig trailers, etc....

I buy my plastics by the 100 when I can.  I have a special bait closet in the garage where I keep them in plastic bags.  I keep about 6-10 of each that I plan to use in plastic boxes in the boat.  I haven't noticed any difference whether they are in the bag or box.

If the original packaging is small, they stay in that, otherwise I move a few into ziploc bags.

All of the bags then go into a 3700 sized tub in my main bag. I never leave any soft plastic bait exposed in a tray.

I use plastic shoe boxes to store my soft plastics in their original packages.

It works great for me. I have about 6 different boxes on my boat at a time. I make sure I have all of my stuff whne I need it!

Because a pro does it don 't mean you have to do it, a pro may quickly run out of baits on a weekend and may have to replenish the T-box a lot more often than you so it doesn 't matter that the baits are exposed, other pros may not carry them in T-boxes but carry a bunch of bags, same principle applies, a bag of baits may last them a couple of weekends.

But you are a weekend warrior  , so baits will last you more so you gotta keep them protected from exposure to the elements. A plano 3700 can hold 4 bags of baits per row of compartments.

i keep them in the original package and put those in those big freezer bags. i have 4 seperate ones with different types in each. works great for me.
