Does Anyone Konw About Bassmater University??

Featured Replies

Looking thourgh my Bass Pro Shops catalog and ran across an add for Bassmaster University.  Just wondering has anyone ever gone to one of these, and was it worth it?  Also, my catolog is for 2006 is there going to be a class for 07'?

THANKS Y'ALL

I went to two different ones a few years back.  It was great to see and listen to the pros(especially Larry Nixon who I got to talk to and get my hat autographed 8-)) but it turns into a "you better buy these baits"......and I did :-/.  Still, you can get some good tips and techniques out of it.  Take a notebook and pen along with a camera ;).

In a word...FANTASTIC.

I have seen Ike, Houston, Brauer, VanDam, Nixon, Menendez, Zell Roland, Hank Parker...and the list goes on and on.

The information is outstanding.

I have missed two during the past seven years but plan to go to the next one in Virginia this January or February.

The pros are funny and the information is priceless.

So go.  Learn.  Get autographs and photos taken.  Get the pros' latest publications and DVDs.  Listen, take notes and learn.

It is worth every penny.

ive been to 2, the pro s are funny and its cool to talk to them and get their autographs.

Sort of on-topic... dollar for dollar, this is the best info I've ever found. It's a collection of real tips, not ads for new stuff to buy, and they were collected from all over the world and then tested before being allowed in the book:

Some really cool tricks on everything from preventing bird's nests to keeping minnows alive longer and from tips on fish by species to boat handling and even recipies.

It's not Bassmaster-U but it's within reach of everyone and as close as the local book store.

I went two years ago to the one in Richmond.  Very worthwhile, lots of good information.

Went to my first, last year in St Louis. Jimmy Houston, Larry Nixon, Gary Klein, Randy Howell, Davy Hite and George Cochran. Very informative. Nice guys. I'll go again.

You look familiar from the picture in the avatar.

HA HA, That is how I always refer to myself!

have been to three and they are worth the money

you pick up a lot of good tips about line type, different tecniques, and the pros usually have some great stories

you usually get free stuff also!!!!!

take a camera for sure, you can get pics with the pros

Anybody have a link with current information and schedules?  I googled it but came up with really old info and a lot of garbage.

I hear the fishing curriculum is pretty good. The football team, however, sux.

Like FatBoy, I could not find any good info for upcoming classes, does anyone know of any links??

This sounds like it might be a fun way to spend a weekend.
