ok i am doing a project on "Fisheries Biologist"... its a career project and i need to know a bunch of facts....well my problem is that there are some questions that i have to answer that cant be found on the web. and i would need a person to talk to for answers..so if you are a fisheries biologist or know about fisheries biologist and have time to answer a few questions, it would be great.....Thanks

Texas Parks and Wildlife web site has a ask the biologist section.   You can ask any questions you would like and they will answer them.

Bass XL, What are your questions. I am a microbiologist and my husband has

his microbiology degree from the Department of Agriculture at the University of Florida.

His specialty is fisheries microbiology. My degree is in human medical microbiology from

University of North Texas. Dealing with fish is easier than humans.

Also, David Campbell with the Texas Parks and Wildlife is a fisheries biologist with over

35 years of experience. If we can't answer your questions, he can!

Bass XL..... look in the careers sections of state fish and wildlife departments and they will give you a good idea of what is required for each position.

Matt fly... funny you should mention the TX PWD website. My son enquired to our local biologist for this region for a school project but never heard back from him. He also wanted to do his Eagle Scout project by planting native aquatic plants in Belton Lake.

Our lake has no vegatation and he asked the question of why there wasn't any. Guess it was a hard question!!
