Hooking the gullible

Does anybody know where I can get my hands on a used one of these real cheap, ebay didn't have any. ;)

I designed a new type of lure loosely based on a spinnerbait. When I tested it out here before the water turned to ice, the look and action on the lure was incredible, but I still have to tweak it somewhat. Hate to have to wait until spring to get it running right.

jewelry effect? :-/ sales of that lure more than doubled with lures that catch fisherman more then fish. ::)

thanks,

It was an interesting read.  Odd though they chose to talk about the "jewelry effect" immediately after talking about the color blue.  I don't care what this gentlemans research and experience tells him.  My experience tells me that blue lures work very very well.  The black/blue jig has probably accounted for tournament wins than any other single lure.

That being said, there is no doubt that lures are designed to catch fisherman.  The fish catching part will keep it going or kill it, but Alot of money can be made in the meantime.

I think a good example of this currently is the blade dancer by Berkley.  I don't know or have even heard of anyone who things that is a good lure, but the marketing and the appearance (How could something like that NOT catch fish) make it a big seller.  I predict that they will alter it or it will die.

Yet the spinnerbait, which is the most ridiculous looking contratption will kill em under the right conditions and is a staple in every serious bass anglers tackle box.

Go figure.

PS>  I do not do especially well with red.  But blue?  Fuggedaboudit

I thought it was interesting  :)

p.s. I like blue too avid light powder blue back chartruese was my top producer in Fla.

Jewlery effect, sounds like my wifes theory of "pretty baits" could be logical.

Very informative article
