At my home lake there is a good 12" over the whole thing. It will take quite of few days of 40* to melt it all out. I'm not exactly sure, but I'm not expecting it to break up intill the start of march.

well were i am there is approxamitly 4-5 inches max maybe less depending on the spot

with my experience with duck hunting, 40 degree highs just isnt good enough. any melted ice will freeze come nightfall if it dips below freezing (duh) haha. but luckly for me its supposed to be 50 degrees for most of the week...but who knows around here it could freeze just as easily.

i jus checked a 10 day forcast an after monday highs will be between 46 an 55and lows not below freezing hopefully if it stays like that i can get a day or two in next weekend :)

I wouldn't bet the farm on being able to fish in 1 week.

4-5 inches of ice will take more than 2 weeks to melt off at the temps you have described, least that'e been my experience here.

Wind and rain are the most important thing for taking the ice out.

What do you guys think about 1-2 inches?  The forecast is calling for about freezing temperatures, about 40s and 50s through midweek with a rainstorm, and then sunny on Friday and Saturday near 60.  I'm assuming the ice will be gone by Friday when I go out, but not entirely sure.

Only time will tell ;Dsounds like alot of people are getting bass fever, I know I am.

Oh man, i got 10" of ice to wait out till i can get on the water. :'(  It's gonna be a while...
