Favorite Bass Fishing Shows

Featured Replies

I've been recently bit by the bass fishing bug, and am watching every show I can (thanks to tivo) while waiting for the Michigan ice to melt.

What are your favorite shows on TV?

I watch...              Bass Pros          Fishing University      One more cast with Shaw Grigsby        Scott Martin Challenge     and any coverage of Elite series or FLW I can find.

Anything I should add to my "record" list???

Yeah, I'm also hibernating until the ice melts, haha.

My favorite shows are Linder's Angling Edge on VS, North American Fisherman on VS, and Bass Pros.  The first two aren't always focused on largemouth/smallmouth bass, often walleye, musky, crappie, ice fishing, etc..., but they are probably a couple of the most informative shows airing at the moment.  I also really like Linder's because most of the shows are taped in Minnesota which has really good info that pertains to us here in MI.

i watch darn near every one i can...but my favorite would have to be hank parker, bill dance, and oneil outside

My favorite shows are bass pros because they focus mainly on bass fishing and One more cast with Shaw Grigsby.  I love One More Cast because Shaw always seems so enthusiastic and enjoys every fish so much.  Its actually pretty fun just watching someone enjoy something so much.  Even my wife likes to watch the show because of that and she usualy HATES watching anything fishing related.

One more cast with Shaw Grigsby .

Yea I second the Bass Pros. The show features some of the best bass fishermen in the world. Kevin VanDamn, Rick Clunn, Edwin Ewers... theres a few more. I also like the highlights from Bass Master Elite Series Tournaments.

the best show by far is classic patterns. which by the way if anyone has any of the DVDs they should contact me and mabye we can colaberate our collections. I enjoy watching bassmasters and hank parker / shaw grigsby (are they brothers?) i love the underwater shots they get. the in fisherman ones are pretty informative too but i would say that bill dance is just as informative as well.

BAss pro's by far....i cant stand shaw the way he says stuff is so dumb...dont get me wrong, he's a good fishermen, but...

i watch all of the bass shows with roland martins being the best. i just love how that guy exagerates the weights of his fish----4,5,6,7,8 pounder wooo son.

Fishing University has to be the best show on TV.  I mean where else can you see a guy talk about how a particular rod will increase your catch ratio to almost 100% and then have him miss over 50% of the fish on that very rod.  Or have a guy catch a smallmouth bass with a lure made out of real food and then to demostrate this, he ate the very lure that was just in the smallmouth basses mouth.  Great show for laughs, but not much information one can use.

In-Fisherman

In-fisherman is good for all around fishing.  Hank Parker is pretty good too.  The outdoor channel does a whole bunch of fishing shows on Monday I believe...someone can verify this for you.

I like all fishing shows but the ones I have found to be the most educational are Lindner's Angling Edge, Bass Pros, and Bill Dance Outdoors.
