Just some friendly advice...If you are thinking that school is a necessisty for you to land that dream job...you may be barking up the wrong tree. FIND SOMETHING YOU LIKE!!! There is nothing worse than dropping a lot of coin on some education and then doing something completely different.

You know I never really realized how much the price has gone up since I started driving ten years ago. I mean I'v noticed the increase in the price at the pump but I guess over the years I've rationalized it by looking across the marketplace and realizing LIFE n general is more expensive now than ten years ago. However, after visiting OPEC's website and doing some very simple math, I've deduced that the basket price for a barrell of crude has gone up $38.52 from $18.68 a barrell to $57.20 a barrell...when did the US jump on the "Please screw us over wagon"? I've got to say I was mildly upset at the price of gas I am now however completely furious...The time to leave Iraq is NOW!!!!! Let them take care of themselves, Lord knows they have enough of our money to do it with. > > >

listen fellas, the Yanks are only back 5 and a half games back right now. Clemens can make that deficit up at least enough to pull them into the playoffs and then the sticks usually come alive. Even if he only pitches 130-150 innings it's worth the money...if you can afford him he's worth it....oh and to all you Boston fans out there...you tried to buy him too so don't be high and mighty claiming that the Yanks buy and pay for players to win series. It's like fishing...if you can afford a brand new 14ft bass tracker, why buy an old rusty canoe?

A big part of me is saying "stay away from this thread" but I think I would be remiss to avoid a comment. I am in agreement with Glenn and RW on this one. I really think now is not the time to go grandstanding our position as gun owners. Now before you jump up and say "that's not what I'm doing" let me explain...As with many national tragedies there are always immediate activists that jump in and demand rapid social changes...these nuts continue to make life difficult for the rest of us more level-headed rational Americans. I think if we let these gun control blow-hards preach themselves hoarse we will come out better in the end. I'm advocating passive resistance on this one. I think this is not the kind of issue we need to debate a need for gun control over. These emotionally charged arguments fizzle quickly. Let's keep with the prayers for those affected and live to fight the gun control battle head on another day.

Where is your camp in centre county Jake? I used to hit Pine creek on opening day with my grandpa around Woodward...but it's been years since I fished those waters.

I've found a lot around elm trees and old apples myself but I am thinking it is still too cold in PA to find them. I was just wondering if the temperature had anything to do with it or not.
