Banned for a few days

Featured Replies

Kinda new here.  I don't know if this is the right section to post this question.  I tried to log-in last Wednesday and I was told that I was banned from this forum and could not use this facility anymore.  :-[ :'(  I tried to recall what I have written that might have offended someone or gotten the ire of the moderators but I have no recollection of ever even being in the border of what is not allowed in this site.  I was disappointed for the moment because I love this forum and have learned a lot and enjoy it so much.  However, when I tried logging-in today, to my surprise, I could.  Was there a glitch on the website?  Did a moderator ban me by mistake and corrected it afterwards?  Or am I still banned but a moderator reinstated me by mistake?  :)

I looked at your last 15 posts and all seemed to be OK and no problems.

I would think you being banned was a computer glitch.

If I was you I would not give it a second thought and keep on posting and sharing your ideas and thoughts with us.

Welcome back! It might have been a program thing. I've been here about three or four months, but I've never figured out what my password was. My computer was banned somehow, but I was still a member somehow.  :D I still ain't sure what was wrong or right, I just know this is one cool site. Maybe when they fix your problem, they'll tell me what my password is so I can change my avatar and stuff.

You guys need to PM us when you have problems like this. We know how to fix them and are happy to do so.

hi_steel PM me a good email address and I will set up a temp. password for you.

Glitch.

Hate to say it, but occasionally data gets corrupted every now and then.  This can sometime affect member information.  I routinely run "clean up" programs to restore the data. If you've ever seen the "...only the admin can log in right now..." sign, that's what I'm doing (you can't rebuild member's data if they're logged in).

So, ya, you got hit by the data bug.  Sorry about that. Glad it was restored, however.

Actually, if you are getting a "banned" message, you can't log in to send a PM but you WILL have access to the staff members emails.  That's the route you want to take.

Glad ur back. :)
