canebreak?????????

Featured Replies

I've been wondering about this a while now.  On the home page the quote mentions a canebreak.  What is this i'm not familiar with the term.

1. Gat a Cane

2. Place the cane between 2 saw horses

3. smash cane right in middle with 25# slegdge Hammer

What is left is a Canebreak

Now for a more serious answer; i bleive thats when your going through a swamp with cane growing in it and there are like patways and patchwork openings that also can hold fish

Thanks Muddy.  Actually my best guess was a cane pole breaking, but not between to saw horses.  In fact i've never heard of a saw horse.  Can you race them? ;)

Welcome mattm as Humprey Bogart says at the end of Casablanca" Louie, this is the beggining of a beautiful Friendship"

learn something new everyday ;D

A canebreak is a patch of cane  growing wild.  You will generally find it in moist sandy soil.  Around here it can cover a acer or more.

Thanks for clearing that up
