anyone notice the finish on your reels becoming damaged from leftover suncreen on your hands?

    I'm not sure if sunblock will hurt the finish on stuff ,but some insect repellent does. So I allways rinse my hands after appling both just incase also a lot of sunblock has a scent to it that the basss may not like.

    I don't know about the sunscreen but I would be very carefull using insect repelant while fishing.  Bass hate the scent of DEET

    Sunscreen stained the interior of my old boat. I've never noticed anything on my fishing equipment, but I usually wash my hands after applying.
