This time of year i believe we all go to fishing points. This is why I would like to have a discussion on points (secondary or Main). Some questions that come to my mind are as follows: How do we fish them ie. Water movement, deep to shallow, vise versa? How to pick out a good point? Lures to use? Why are the fish there? And how do they stage compared to water and weather conditions? Answers to things like this would sharpen my skills and others too. Feel free to add any other ideas to this. Thanks  

In cold water, fish sharp points, where bass can have significant depth changes without swimming great distances. In warm water, long points with a gradual taper into deep water usually hold more fish.

Deep to shallow or vise versa?

When you've selected which point to fish and are headed towards it you are already in deep water already so start there working shallower.
