I AM REALLY IN AWE OF THE TROPHY HUNTERS

Featured Replies

I find it staggering how some guys : Fish Chris,Mike Long and Hannon consitently find and boat those cows!!!!!!!! Randall down in GA and LBH catch large numbers of bass on the upper end of their weight class in their home lakes consistantly. It is obvious how much work and time goes into thier games.

It is great how each of them will share when asked a lot of what they have worked years to learn.

I went on the Lake Fork trip, thinking well I am goin to Texas>>>>>>PB TIME!!!!!!!, no such luck. Trophy hunting takes skill not luck. I watched a few well known fisherman, who know way more than me cetainly, more than most GET SKUNKED basically on that trip. It really opened my eyes to how dedicated they are. That trip more than anything opened my eyes to the amount of fishing and studying it takes to fish on that level. Those Cali hogs may be eating a lot of trout but i don't see just anyone grabbin a rod and pulling them out like Chis does.

Just for today, I am happy to be catching the fish I do, in time I can see me trying to conistently catch larger fish, I have niether the time nor the desire to put more work into it now.

I am truly amazed at these guys and i respect them all 8-)

Hang in the Bud it'll happen  ;)

While there is a lot of skill involved it also involves being in the right place at the right time. During the Fork trip y'all were in the right location but the timing was off due to the erratic weather conditions. While my personal best was caught during pre-spawn I've caught a larger numbers of big bass during non-spawn conditions when the bass are more predictable.

A quick review of my records show the best months were May, the end of June/the start of July & August.

HEY CATT I HOPE THERE IS JUST ONE 10LB LMB WITH MY NAME ON IT> I LEARNED A LOT ON THAT TRIP, I LEARNED THAT THERE ARE A FEW WAYS I REALLY AM PROFICIENT IN AND WHEN I STUCK TO THOSE METHODS, WHEN THE BITE WAS TOUGH >>> I CAUGHT FISH. JUST GOTTA KEEP FISHING AND LEARNING>>>>>>>TWIST MY ARM, WHY DON'T YOU ;D

Come down here with me Muddy, I 'll take you to where the big mommas live.  ;)

Big bass hunters are a special breed.

Kudo's to all who have the dedication, skill, and perseverence to consistantly go out and catch double digits.

Fish Chris -   You da man.

I'm in awe also. I'm sure it takes way to much patience for me. I would love to spend one week with one of them just to see how they handle their time.
