Is the MAG Pop-R back or is it just me

Featured Replies

I keep reading about how Craig Powers and other pros look for this discontinued bait on ebay and pay big bucks for them. I went to Walmart the other day and there were several new ones. I wonder if the Mag Pop-R is the same one that was discontinued. Or is he looking for something different.

Are you talking about the Rebel brand POP-R?  If you are I also saw a few of them at Wal-Mart the other day.

The ones the pros try so hard to track down is the P70 series. It was 3 and 1/8" long and has a large knocker type rattle in it. The Mag Pop-Rs at WalMart now are the P65 series. They are a 3" version. Rebel does offer the P66 version that is a 3 and 1?8" version in some holographic colors but I don't know what the difference in action/sound are from the older P70 series.

A P6g series with the bottom lip shaved is my favorite popping style lure. I haven't had the heart to enter the bidding wars for the P70s yet.

I read his article too.

I came to one conclusion....  He bought a bunch really cheap and is now trying to sell them for a nice profit...

I still have a nice stash oh the larger Pop-R's and am not selling any!

How do you tell which series your Rebel Pop-Rs are??

I've got two or three....and one of them is an older hand-me-down....

Other than color and condition, I didn't really think that they were much different.
