what's the skinny

about the titles by our names? i know that if you have over 500 posts, you are considered a "senior member", and some guys have the title "been posting a long time" by their names. the reason i ask is because some guys that have the title "been posting a long time" have been members for less than a year. shouldn't their title be "posts a lot"? i love to get info from the guys on this site, but i always check their profile to see how long they have been a member for. because realistically some guys spend way more time on their computer than they do on the water. just curious.

You probably should direct those kind of questions to Glen .

I think it is up to the person reading the post to determine whether or not the information they are seeing is worthwhile.

Just like you looking to see how long someone has been a registered member, I am sure other people evaluate member credentials a thousand different ways.

The only thing that a lot of posting will get for you is to let people know about your personality.  Other than that, post count really doesnt mean all that much in the grand scheme of things.
