World's Greatest Fishing Show presents

The FLAMICH Cup

The two-part show airs April 5 and April 12, 2008

The World's Greatest Fishing Show's presentation of The Flamich Cup could possibly be the greatest competitive fishing spectacular ever created... at least in the minds of the show's host, Mark Zona and BASS founder Ray Scott.

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of BASS, some of the biggest names in bass fishing will vie for the prestigious honor of hoisting the Flamich Cup. Roland Martin and Shaw Grigsby will represent the state of Florida. They will compete against the might of Michigan, Mark Zona and Kevin VanDam. This match-up between Florida (FLA) and Michigan (MICH) inspired the event's name.

Taped on location at Ray Scott's home in Pintlala, Ala., the teams were eager to meet up on Scott's famed lake, which according to Roland Martin is the "number one lake in the whole world." The lake record is 13 pounds, 15 ounces caught by another bass legend... Rick Clunn.

This unique event will air in two parts starting on 4/5/08 with the exciting conclusion on 4/12/08.

Sorry florida friends- you don't stand a chance! The north will reign by ego alone.   ;D   I'm still waiting for my invite to your lake Ray.
