With sping coming up i am getting excited but i am nervous because i have never rly fished early spring because i was very busy with sports but now i have time and i have a tournement april 19th so i am allready trying to preare for it b.c. it is my first one and i would love to win it. well anyway what should i focus on in april i will be pre fishing it the week before so what should i focus on fishing this time of year. the tournemnt will be at indian lake in ohio

At that time of year the fish will probably be just starting to bed.

Most of the lake is relatively shallow so it will depend on the water clarity for the most part.  

Indian lake?  That's tough man.  Good luck!

North Fork Great Miami River area looks extremely interesting, so does the numerous canals north west of there.

Just below where Shawnee Island is written looks like a great transition area for spawning.  It also looks like one of the deepest places in the lake.

yea i was planning on hittting the north fork  area hard during prefishing but should i be focusing on fishing plastics since there starting to bed?
