How else are you going to control traffic?

Unfortunately, there is no contour info for KY lake.  Barkley OTOH.  

It's tricky though. No longer is it "red on right return", it's more of an English version of traffic control, "White on right return" Be careful out there guys.

Does anyone have the link to the thread where the guy explains what programs to download and how to overlay the google earth with the others etc? It was awesome, I'll try to find it

Get you a grid that was shot before the lake was built. DOE or some other government office will have them. Pick the grids you want and then draw in the water line and you have the best, most accurate map of any manmade lake in the country. I have old grid shots of Sam Rayburn area here in East Texas from the 30s and the detail is amazing.

I've been looking at it and listening for about ten minutes and it hasn't told me a thing yet. Should I keep waiting?  ;D ;D ;D

Exactly.  Barnett Bay to the south and Vickers Bay on the north.  Vickers has an old road bed that runs east/west on the north side.  I plan on fishing both these areas during the BR road trip.

I've studied it pretty closely and have determined that its a pretty deep looking lake, has a few under water points and a few coves.

That is the best answer so far IMO.  Basic, obvious, and to the point.

I read a ton of great answers.

It's deep

Has two underwater bars (Or rock wing dams)

Many points

Water is down (to winter pool possibly)

Has current

Other than that nothing.

The picture has 2 bars, that jut off of the points.  The bars show you the current flow, and if there are fish there in April,  how they may be positioned on that staging area.  

Being that some of the bass will be in spawn, those bays are a great place to look.

Less obvious is that those bays are just a short run from Kenlake Lodge.

Never been there. If I were to go and the river was not in flood I would be up river. Ya'll can have the down lake area.

I gonna do what I always do on a new lake, ride around until I find something that looks like home and fish the hell out of it. ;D

From what I have looked at so far, this lake is a lot like home.  Lots of secondary points and creek channels fit right in to the way I like to fish, jigs and cranks.

Was a good thread...wish we could see more of this type of stuff.  I myself enjoyed just finding where it was in the world.
