Great Drop Shotting "How to" video

Featured Replies

Since there has been a lot of Drop Shotting ?'s lately I thought many could benefit from this. I know I did.

Skeet does a great job explaining things here.

Seems like a simplistic technique - Is this used alot?

Yep.  This is used a whole bunch.

Not by me though.  I suck at it.

Nice vid..thanks for the link Dave.. 8-)

Whoever needs a how to video on dropshotting needs to sell all their gear and move onto a different sport. Take up golfing or something, haha. ::)

I've tried golf. I like fishing better.

Thanks for posting the video. I needed it.

Good video.  Reminded me to keep the weight in contact with the bottom for max worm action.  He was in 37' of water.  You can drop shot in any depth.

keeping the weight down on the bottom is the one of the most important aspects of your presentation.....I can't for the life of me figure why some think you need an ultra light weight.......You need to feel bottom to know where your bait is, to know what action you are imparting into it.

I haven't watched the video yet, but I stick to 3/8 oz round sinkers......the pencil sinkers will reduce feel IMO. 3/8 works well for about any depth.

Today on  One More Cast, he was fishing the Rage Lizard on a drop shot. He had the weight what looked like about 5 or 6 in. from the lizard with a mojo weight. looked cool!
