What the formula for calculating weight??/

Anyways I have heard of it but I don't really know what it is. How close is it to actual wieght of you fish? T

Check out the articles in the Fishing Articles section for the Forum's formula.

I was taught to use:

Length X Length X Girth

                 1200

Both ways will be close to the fish's weight.  :)

The best formula involves only basic math and most of it's done by a cash register.  

$20-$30 buys a decent digital scale.  Weighing a fish is the ONLY accurate formula.

If I dont have a scale and there is no one else around I use the following formula:

weight of current Personal Best bass x 1.10,

+ cost of lures lost on that outing (dollars=Ounces)

= what that fish must have weighed!
