Going Fishing today...need suggestions

Featured Replies

temp 90 degrees

water 75

it is in a pond

this is a good pond usually catch 10-15 an hour, bass, crapie, bluegill.  everything hits on everything.  i catch bluegill on 4 inch crankbait then next cast i'll bring in a 5lb bass on the same bait.

any suggestions for these conditions?

i haven't fished in this temp before.

going fishin in NC today!!

Just based on the water temperature, you should just go out there and fish like you normally do. They should be pretty active. If there is any grass on the lake then pound that out. Any wood? pitch a bait beside it. What all does the lake have to off it water clarity, cover, structure, depth etc?

I killed them on a T-rigged Zoom finesse worm w/ 1/8oz bullet weight in similar conditions last weekend. I had an ultralight setup with 8lb test. They were all caught along weeldlines in the pond.  Also, a w-rigged senko should do the trick. ;)

Fish cover.

Good luck!

from your initial post it doesn't seem like you need any suggestions!  do what you've been doing!

Try all types of stuff. C-rigged lizards and creatures. Tx rigged lizards and BIG worms.Definatley Spinnerbaits, senkos,X raps. If your in a boat throw some cranks. All of these baits will work in these conditions. But like posted earlier, it wouldnt hurt to fish some cover. Try to find some drop offs if any. good luck

exactly, throw some senkos, t-rigged or wacky, both produce well.

when i find something that works, I keep doing it.  i like the old saying, why fix what's not broken!

I second that thought.  Also throw where there are shadows, bass love to hide where the water is darker.  Maybe its just me, but I've had my best luck with a YUM Dinger in ponds.   :-?

could not agree more!

Sounds like you do better than me so stick with whats been working for you ! I agree with focusing on cover also.

I think if you gave me the GPS coordinates for this pond, I'd be able to help.  ;)
