Rattle Head spinnerbait question

Featured Replies

What is the little extra widget in the pack with the spinnerbait? It kinda looks like a plug to keep the hook from rattling, but I'm not sure... :-/

I think that is used when replacing the skirt ;)

this is from Rattle Head Baits website

Rigging Instructions

The Bushing included with the bait is to be used to assist one with the replacement of the skirt. The bushing should be placed on the point of the hook, large end first, and pushed up to the back of the bait's head. The skirt should then be inserted, small end first, and pushed up over the bushing and on to the collar. After installing the skirt, the bushing  should be removed by sliding it off the hook. If bushing hangs on the hooks barb, rotate the bushing to remove.

I really appreciate the help, guys. I'm sure the widget will be long gone by the time I actually need it, but it's cool that they put it in the package.  ;)

The answers that you got are correct, there is a written description on the card behind the baits and we have a video on our site that show how it is used, high speed recommended. Click Video\Sound File page.

Good luck and good fishing.

Dow and Bekki make a quality spinnerbait. I fished them last season, with great success. I really believe the rattle chamber made a difference on a number of fish.

There were days I would fish an area with my Terminator spinnerbait without getting any fish. I switched to the Rattle Head and would pick up a few fish. The only thing different was the "Rattle Chamber".
