  1. I found them at my local walmart for around $1.96. they are the ones below. i have not had a chance to try them yet so i cannot give you a review. They come with a plastic piece you put on after you put on the trailer hook so it stays on. Strike King Bleeding Bait Trailer Hooks BBTH-2/0 Designed for use with spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and frogs
  2. what did you not like about the Frogg Toggs? i heard good things about them for rain gear? not the best for winter and warmth but for the moderate temps i heard they were good.
  3. it is a suspending lure so like was said above. if you take a slow retrieve and keep your rod tip up you can fish it shallow. i think this presentation would be good in cold water when the fish are not chasing. it will keep the lure in the strike zone longer. i will be trying it out this weekend but on a bigger lake. i am curious to see how it works.
  4. Welcome ;D
  5. i was just at my local Dick's tonight and it was a mess. they are changing the whole fishing section around. i couldn't tell if there were any new products there because half the shelves were empty and they had boxes of products in the middle of the isles. maybe in a day or so they will have it put back together. i only live 5 minutes away so i will check it out over the weekend. i think they are ramping up the fishing section because trout season starts April 4th here and the weather is getting nicer too.
  6. the jointed shad rap is suspending. running depth is 7' to 15' for the JSR07 model. i just picked one up today that i will be trying out on saturday. i think the smaller ones (JSR05, JSR04) running depth ranges from 4' to 13' or something like that. the regular shad rap is not suspending. :'( it is a deep diver and floats. their running depth ranges from 4' - 15'.
  7. i saw that show and he did a great job describing it for use with a spinnerbait. it keeps the entry of the bait soft when it hits the water. plus like was said before. you can get under hanging trees or docks. i was amazed at how easy he made it look.
  8. this is from Rattle Head Baits website Rigging Instructions The Bushing included with the bait is to be used to assist one with the replacement of the skirt. The bushing should be placed on the point of the hook, large end first, and pushed up to the back of the bait's head. The skirt should then be inserted, small end first, and pushed up over the bushing and on to the collar. After installing the skirt, the bushing should be removed by sliding it off the hook. If bushing hangs on the hooks barb, rotate the bushing to remove.
  9. i would say they are now carrying them because i have never seen them at the Dick's near me. i will have to check them out.
  10. i agree with the other responses. I will use a wacky rigged senko or finesse worm. i will throw it weightless so it has a slow fall.
  11. i picked up some of the Yum wooly hawgtails and the gonzo grubs on clearance at the Kmart by my house for $1.00 a piece on clearance. it looks like this particular kmart is getting rid of their fishing department. every fishing item was on clearance. glad to here the wooly hawgtails are a productive bait. i have not tried a creature bait yet.
  12. He is very annoying. My Uncle likes his show. Not sure why though. I will have to ask him next time i see him.
  13. Hank Parker's shows are awesome. He actually teaches you something instead of just watching someone catch fish.

i have been looking at this one at Cabelas. seems pretty good and the reviews are also okay. i have not purchased it yet because i have been looking for a better way to store the rods on my 12ft aluminum boat and can't decide which way would be best. Tote-Um Pole Rod Caddy Item:IK-122355
  15. Nice Fish! Congrats
