I do this sometimes.

I usually say "plastic lure" and leave it as that.I show them what I'm using sometimes,but that's as far as i go.

Most folks around here do not practice C & R.

I care as much about secret lures as I do secret spots.  Quite often when I'm in the field and I'm catching a few I may give the lure away or get a new one I have in my car, I do it all the time.  I do the same with some of my prime fishing spots, I love watching other people catch fish too.

I just don't understand why some people do this. They think that by telling you what lure they are using, that you are going to catch every fish in the lake, and leave them with none.

Because we all know that they is only five or six nice bass in each lake. :

Yep, and just cuz I am using what your using doesn't mean I will catch fish either. The way your working it,speed,depth, location,casting angle,line size,and rod type may or may not play a part.

That said I don't mind sharing anything. I have confidence in what I am doing.Do you?

Theirs really no secret lure.Because they change day to day  hour by hour.The real question should be how deep are they biteing that will give you a starting point.
