I have a question about some grass man.(Tommy Chong voice)

Featured Replies

Ok, one of the lakes I fish the corps of eng. drained the lake back in Feb. to do repairs to the spillway. It totally wiped out the grass in the lake except for the deepest parts of the lake where the water level maintained. There is grass in 12' and deeper.I went a few weeks ago and was still pulling up dead grass from 2' to 9' of water. It has REALLY effected the fishing. So my question is how long should it take for that good grass to grow back?

By late next spring or early summer you should be good to go ;)

I would think that if there was still good grass in 12' then thats where the bass probably went to being that shallower areas lack cover.

Least that's where I'd be fishing ;)

I know where the fish are, but it is a pain in the butt catching them.It is a small lake with motor restrictions and stuff. The fish are easy to find and catch, but all of the wakeboarders and jet skiers make it a pain. They are everywhere.Just some of my favorite spots are useless now and I want everything to be like it was. I used to be able to catch fish in the "no motor zone" of the lake. But now everything in those zones is dead. IMO no grass=no bass
