Where do I get a good replica largemouth

Featured Replies

Anyone know where I can get a good replica wall mount? Yesterday I caught a 7lb 12oz largemouth and released it. I believe this will be the bigget bass I will ever catch (around here) so I would like to have it stuffed, but I did not have the heart to kill it :-/. I took a few pictures and measured it (23" x 17") and I would like to find someone who can replicate the fish so it looks the same. Thanks in advance for any help. Oh yeah here is a pic ;D

Congrats on a beautiful bass!

I recomend Lyon's and O'haver taxidermy. World class work. They have won many competitions.

Who ever you choose make sure you look closley at pics of thier mounts of that species. Many taxidermist are good at some and poor at others. Do not just look at the mount by itself. Compare it to pics of real live fish. If something doesnt quite look right then its not right.

Great taxidermy jumps out at you.

Thanks fo all the advise everyone, but I think I have found the best here...http://www.blackwaterfishreplicas.com/  cost is 1095 and turnaround is 11 months, but worth a little extra for hand crafted cedar. Most glass ones were around 500 anyway for quality work. So I think this lifetime purchase will be worth it.

In my opinion, the best there is for Largemouth is Lake Fork Taxidermy in Texas....

I live in Georgia, and when I caught my PB (9-12), I asked tons of people, researched many places across the country, and everything pointed me to them.

Took about 3 months, and cost $350, but it is AMAZING! Looks just like the real fish, color/texture/pose/etc., it's the best I've ever seen.

Good luck either way, but I'd put the one I got for $350 up against any on the other guy's website.
