October 3rd is the end.

Our lake is shutting down the boat launch on the 3rd. We should've been open another month, but since our contractor refuses to work when it's below 32 degrees, I'm screwed this year. The really bad part is calling dock owners who knew we would be dropping, and telling them their boat is now 20' off of the water.

It's a beautiful tract for small mouth, google east branch lake to check it out.

    Man that's gotta suck.

     :(

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. It really sucks!!

If it's a low bid scenario, realize that concrete work in below freezing temps often requires chemical additives, insulation or heaters to obtain a proper cure.

I'm not defending it, just pointing out a possible, logical reason.
