Just got some IMA Skimmers. I noticed that they have a split ring tied to them. My question is do you tie to the split ring or do you remove the split ring and tie directy to the bait? Are there advantages to using the split ring (action, etc.).

If its got one, use it. Itll look better.

I remove the split ring and use a snap.
