Boater or NON Boater?

I've been on the bank all my life but just this year I started rigging-up a fishing canoe to cover the 11 little lakes that I fish (4 to 201 acres). Since the photo was taken, I've added Scotty rod holders, a 3-tube rod rack, a "dashboard" with sonar and a transducer arm, an anchor system, and some other stuff.

Not as good as a bass boat, but it's car-toppable and I can launch anywhere (don't need a launch ramp). From the time I pull up lakeside with the canoe strapped to the top of the car, it takes about 18 minutes to rig and launch.

Boat, but also from swim and boat docks when I'm too lazy to handle the boat.

I have a little 14' jon boat w/ a 7.5hp and a bow mount trolling motor. At least it gets me out there and does OK on a lot of lakes and rivers. I'm really looking to get into something a bit bigger and more stable so I can cover more water. Between the HP restrictions of a couple of my favorite lakes and the limitations of my tow vehicle I'm thinking a 16' aluminum w/ @ 25 hp would be perfect for me.

I fish all over the banks and I fish on my boat all of the time. Both can be a lot of fun. Here's my champion that I just bought at the beginning of the season.

I've done more than my fair share of boat angling and shore angling (fresh & salt).

This is one guy who'll never lose his love and respect for shore fishing.

Roger

Shore anglers have it way harder than boat angles!

I own a boat but shore fish & wade fish often (fresh/salt)  ;)

Shore fishing 95 percent of the time, if I do get to use a boat is a yak or canoe.  Working on My flat stern canoe setup so I can get it into the water soon.
