My addiction.

Featured Replies

Bass Fishing.  It's my drug of choice and I can't get enough of it.  If I could quit my job today and fish every day the rest of my life, I would do it.  I dream about bass, think about bass and I want to fish RIGHT NOW!!!  I've been a bass fisherman for as long as I can remember and there's only been 1 year that I haven't been bass fishing.  What am I going to do???  I've only fished in 2 tournaments, but I got 2nd place in both.  I don't have a boat....yet.  My wife supports my habit and I don't know if that's a good thing, lol.  Just had to get all that off my chest.   :D

You're in the right place then. I think we all feel that way here.  ;)

My little woman is supportive of my habit, but doesn't support it.

If I haven't picked up a rod by 4pm she's asking if I'm going fishing today.

Think I'll keep this one.

she was almost 8 months pregnant at the time too!!  lol  (the wife that is)

I fished for five hours in the light rain...air temp 52...today. I BassFish every day no matter the weather. I will fish until are lakes and ponds ice up in winter.

I've been addicted for honest to goodness 40 years. Been thru two wives to boot.

Dude, it's in your DNA,so don't fight it.

hookset on 3 ;D

Aye. I've never really fished Fresh Water too seriously, I live a few miles from the ocean, between bay bass fishing, surf fishing, inshore, offshore.. Never really wanted to drive the 70 mile one way trip to a HEAVILY over fished CA lake, especially as the boat we had was a bit much for lakes :)

But, I figured I might give it a try.

back in 2006 my brother and i fished through a tropical storm in a jon boat.  we were on a little lake on the sub base in southeast georgia and found a little spot out of the wind and had a blast.  going across the lake we were taking water over the side and almost didn't make back to where we launched, but it was awesome, we caught 20-25 bass that day flipping some reeds.  i fished every day for 3 months straight that year before i deployed.

I'm glad to hear this "addiction" doesnt' go away. I just started a couple of years ago and am totally hooked. I look forward to many years of "barely doing enough at my job to keep it because I can't stop thinking about bass fishing!" hahaha......don't tell my boss! ;D

I love it.  Bass fishing is my mental health treatment.  My wife came to the weigh ins at the last two tournaments I fished and had a great time.  She loves the raffles.  We have a rule, no overtime, no stuff.  After 37 years it still works.  I'm glad she doesn't care to fish, she'd probably kick my butt. ;D ;D ;D
