Drop shot -- largemouth or smallmouth?

Do you think the drop shot technique is more effective for one or the other, smallmouth or largemouth?  I have been more successful catching largemouth with this technique.  What has your experience taught you?

I have used it for both and have been successful but I can not say I have caught more of one than the other since I mostly target large mouth with it.

It has become a staple here on Lake Erie for smallmouth. Used to be that draggin a tube was the primary technique, now presenting drop shot goby immitation is most likely #1.

Has a lot more to do the location you fish than the terminal rig you use that determines species.

I've caught Largemouth,Redeyes, gazzillions of Spots, and we have got occasional Smallie on them. It depends in what region your in.The drop shot is a highly effective rig
