Creek Bass

Featured Replies

What approach would you use trying to find bass in a creek this time of year. The channel is about 9-12 ft deep with probably a mud bottom. I have only been up in the creek once but i remember a couple spots with limestone bluffs. There is other natural structure in there as well. I hope the water is clear to slightly stained. Its all dependent on how much rain we get this evening and tonight.

T-rigged craws and trick worms to start with or if its kind of choppy... top water cavitron works well.

try the rapala jointed minnow cast it to the other side if one is there she will hit it pretty fast oh yea the one i use is the 2 .75 in in black and silver good luck :) :)

Rebel Crawfish.

Laydowns that extend out to the deeper part of the channel are always good producers in creeks.  In the creeks around here the more visable ones get pounded by other anglers, but always seem to hold some fish. The best ones are the ones you can't see so easy. If there is a better 1-2 punch for laydowns than a jig and a square billed crank I don't know what it is.
