I've got permission to fish a 14 acre pond, and the place looks ''Bassy". Two docks, a couple of downed trees is the only structure I can see in the water. I've never thrown 6" huddy's in a pond and I am wondering what are some good techniques for swimbaits in ponds. When I am in a lake, I look for points, creek channels and do pretty well, but in a pond I am lost. I will be fishing from a boat. If you've used swimbaits in a pond with sucess, I would like to know what methods did you use.

  A pond is a small lake...Fish them the same way

Here in GA most ponds have a very shallow thermocline right now. This puts the bass shallow since they can't live deep. Most of the larger fish are suspended shallow just off areas where they can trap baitfish on the shoreline. So my advice is to just put the bait right up against the shore and keep it there. When you get to any points throw over the point to the deeper side and bring the bait up hill.
