some fishing help please

Featured Replies

I live in central VA, right now the climate is between 70 at night and early morning, up to 100-105 in the day,

the lake(only one i can get to) is low on water,( about 5 feet low), the water is murky, lots of soil and sediment, and it is pressured a lot, the bass are mostly small, about 1-3 LBS.

what do I use, and when do I use it?

Try something slow and noisy, like a jig wth a rattle. If the water has mats of scum or vegetation, you could try a frog bait.

Try some type of a frog or a spinner bait. The frogs will allow you to get into the lilly pads and stuff while the spinnerbait will allow you to get down to the depths and get the fishes attention. That's what i've been using lately.

which lake are you talking about because i live in central va.

Try a wacky rigged 3" senko or a tiny brush hog on a big bite jighead. My sons been knockin em dead on these. The water he's fishing is down 2' since the spring.
