Met Joe Thomas Friday

Featured Replies

I have been in Indianapolis the last week working a booth at the national FFA convention. The last day of the convention I walked around to see some of the other booths. In the Stihl booth, I saw they had a bass boat in their booth. There was a sign that said something about Joe Thomas. I thought "huh, I wonder if he is here?" I walked in the booth and there he was just visiting with some people. I had the chance to visit with him for about ten minutes. He was really nice and we just visited and laughed for a while. We talked about fishing and the convention, we both shared the opinion that the FFA is a great organization, with a lot of good people involved.

He showed no signs of being big headed, and had I had the time, I think he would have talked to me all day.

He's a really cool guy, and the fact that he has two well watched shows (Angler On Tour, and Ultimate Match Fishing) doesn't seem to make him think he's something special.

Then again, he usually finishes somewhere in the middle of the pack, so he better not get a big head! ;D

It seems from his T.V. presence that he is a good guy, I'd like to meet him.  His show "Reel in the Outdoors" is good too.  Don't know if that show is even still on.

Yes it is.  I love that show.  Probably one of my top five favorite fishing shows.

I also like his shows but on "reel" they need to stop it with the fake hookset sound effect. Sure it sounds like it's reel but after hearing 10,000 times in a row you know it's the same sound effect over and over again. LOL!
