ammo cans

Featured Replies

Has anyone noticed besides me that 3 Plano 3600 boxes fit perfectly upright in an army metal ammo can? :)  As long as you take the lid off, it  would make a great storage spot for them in a boat. ;D  I am planning on recessing a few into a jon this summer for storage.  This looks like it would work great! ;D

On a similar note, the Plano 360's fit just perfectly in a plastic milk crate.

I put a shelf in the middle, stand it on end and voila - storage for 10 Plano's.

It just so happens that I have a few ammo cans and a milk crate in the garage!  Question:  What size ammo can?  I think all I brought home from the Army with me was 2 or 3 of the .50 cal cans.

I use milk crates to store my planos in the back of the truck on long trips. Say you want to take a lot with you and don't have room in the boat. Easy to take into the motel room and organize.

50 cal size cans should work.   I think it is the same as mine.
