went fishing yesterday and seen two big bass they stayed in the same area all day one 8 lb. one looked 11 or 12 lbs. i caught a 8 lb. last week in the same spot on a black and blue lizard i tried it i tried green brush hog and also floating 10'' black snake they didn't even want a live bream do u guys have any ideas the water is very clear about 10 to 15 feet deep and alot of dead weed on the bottom

It sounds like they are spawning..... They should be in your part of the country. Read this thread.

thanks for the help i fish from the bank the bass were staying mainly in cover then would come out then back in i didn't see no bed the cover was at the bank small trees and brush with canopy of dead green on top of it the cover only about 7' by 8' in about 7; deep

Keep your profile low (crouch or kneel) and stay back from the water's edge.  Their predators come from above so when they see you standing there above them, they are getting sketched out.  This applies to all bank/shore fishing (River or Pond).  The way the light waves bend when looking through water, they can see a lot more of the shore (you) than you'd imagine.

If you can see them, they can see you. especially from the bank, and with that clear water you might want to use much smaller baits.

If they are getting ready to spawn there may not be anything you can do to get them to bite, might be better off leaving them to find some more aggressive fish. Come back in a day or two and see if there's a bed there, once they're locked on a bed they're a lot easier to catch.

use flourocarbon or a flourocarbon leader

use the fish chris method, nose hook a live night crawler in the fat part of it and toss it out there weightless or with a light split shot

Try senkos!  Then again sometimes they just have lockjaw.
