peanut butter or jelly?

Just kidding. Give it some time. I also have been out 2 times and I am skunked. Happens every year. I am am more anxious than the fish are to get started. The water will warm and the fishing will pick up. Count on it, and don't get discouraged.

Around 60 degrees things will really start to go. So just hang in there and keep casting, and enjoy being out there, and rejoice that winter is finally over.

HOORAY!!!

My boat is not ready so I have been fishing from shore. I have caught a few on a finesse jig dragged VERY slow on the bottom and a 1/4 oz. Chatterbait slow rolled on the bottom. I reeled it just fast enough to feel it vibrating and hitting the bottom. I tried the "normal" cold water baits, (jerks, rattles, spinners) no go. Whatever you throw...DO IT SLOW!!! Good luck!

i have a boat with electronics and im fishing lakes

Tough conditions lately with all the weather changes.  Don't get discouraged.  Fish are very lethargic in these temps and chances are you are fishing too fast.  When you think you are fishing too slow, slow down.

Sunny days I'd try some shallow flats near deep water. Cloudy days I'd be at the first drop off and fish parallel to the drop and fan cast to cover a variety of water depths.
