Back when I fished lead weights on my texas rigs, I always used part of a toothpick to peg my weights. Since I've been using tungsten for a while, I've noticed that the toothpicks don't work as well with it. Anybody have any other cheap, ingenious methods of pegging tungsten weights?

I use the same old tooth pick trick on Tungsten with no issues! The BPS bobber stops work good too.

I use nothing but tungsten and have been pegging my weights using this method for awhile now. Works great.

I was pegging 1oz tungsten weights with a toothpick on 50lb and 65lb braid until I broke some fish off.  I started using those black, rubber inserts used for mojo rigging.  Have not had a problem in years.

Go to a flytieng store and get a boddin threader http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_22411_175004005_175000000_175004000_175-4-5 just stick it thru the weight use a piece of rubber band or skirt material pull it thru and your done. Keep in your weight box.

Just spend the extra money and buy the Tru-Tungsten weights with the flexable little screw. I have fallen in love with them.
