Big Fish Bait

Featured Replies

So other than big cranks, I have seen the guys on tv throw a big bluegill swim bait its hinged in two spots and bout 4 inches long. Anyone have any experience with this? Im fishing on Table Rock. Does this bait usually produce bigger fish?

Big fish baits for me around MO have always been spinnerbaits with #5 and 7 Colorado blades, Zara Spooks, and big bodied jigs with 7" craw trailers.

one of my fishin buddies even throws musky swimbaits like 9 inches long and catches big bass with them.  Big swimbaits matching the type of fish in the lake should produce big bass.  Just reel very slow around areas where crapies and bluegill would be stacked up, and keep the rod tip down when fighting, they throw large swimbaits very easy.
