I live in northeastern Alabama and largemouth fish FREQUENTLY. Every year my father and I take a trip somewhere and do something interesting. This year we were planning on going to try to catch our first smallmouths ever. Any recommendations of good smallmouth lakes that are fairly close to nother Alabama??

Well there is the tennessee river and wheeler or wilson lake those are pretty good from what I hear.  There is also the Buffalo river in southern middle tennessee.  It is a great river for smallmouth.

THE place to fish for trophy smallmouth bass.
