I'm going to do some fishing with some pals on Dale Hollow in a week or so, and I was wondering what you (collectively) would recommend we use as lures/bait for smallies.

Locals seem to be using spinnerbaits and tubes, from what I understand.....

Anyone have any other recipies for success?

Those fish have never seen the GYCB Fat Ika.

In relatively shallow water (twelve feet and less)

throw that bait,weightless and weedless.

It's THE BOMB!

Your favorite color will do. I like green pumpkin with black flakes (297); gp w/ black & red flakes (208); fading watermelon w/ black flakes (194J) and black with blue flakes (021).

I haven't fished Dale Hollow in years but I have a friend who fishes there pretty regular. If I remember correctly he says that it is pretty much a night time bite in the summer. DH is a big clear lake and I would go with a guide at least the first day.
